Aspelt, 30.1.2015 Ecologically sustainable and innovative: Flash has designed the first electric car with a patented, integrated cooling solution with three different temperature ranges.
"This is a genuine product innovation in the chilled pharmaceuticals freight sector", confirms the head of Flash, Philippe Higelin. "It enables us to transport various types of biological samples under perfect clinical conditions and, what's more, protect the environment with zero C02 emissions", adds Philippe Higelin.
The Flash cooling solution can be integrated into any electric car and has three independent ranges. The temperature is regulated independently of whether the car is in operation or not. This means the temperature can be regulated even when the engine is not running. The system can cool from temperatures of -30°C up to +25°C.
The cooling system is regulated by our operation staff via smartphone or computer and naturally these temperatures are controlled in real-time. Our IT system developed in-house can, for example, calculate temperature deviations in advance and therefore ensure a proactive response. "Thanks to geolocalisation and real-time temperature, the customer can view all the important parameters at all times via the Flash customer portal", says Diego Cerutti, manager in the healthcare freight sector, highlighting the key customer benefits.
“The first vehicles are scheduled to begin operation in the Lille area from end of January onwards. This means that blood samples from various laboratories can be transported to Lille Hospital for analysis under optimal climatic conditions” reports Serge Leonio, Healthcare Manager for the French market. As part of its ecological overall concept, Flash is at present also renewing its "lean & green" certification for the entire group.
